Clean Up Our Neighborhoods
Remove homeless encampments from next to schools, libraries, and children's playgrounds so that students can have safe schools and a healthy learning environment
Expand Governor Newsom’s Clean California grants to $1 billion to remove litter and transform public spaces into points of pride in communities throughout the district
Taking Care of Our Homeless Residents
Reinvest in mental health programs and hospitals cut by the Reagan Administration
Expand and improve Governor Newsom’s Community Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Court program
We must get real about public safety and address the root causes of crime as well as the problems we see in our streets today.
Getting Smarter on Crime
Expand Governor Newsom’s Real Public Safety Plan to $1 billion in grants to local law enforcement agencies to increase their presence at retail locations and combat organized, retail crime so community members and small businesses across the district can feel safe
Incentivize municipalities to put more funding into programs that divert people in crisis from the criminal justice system and emergency rooms to places of care and treatment
Work with Attorney General Rob Bonta to reform Proposition 47 and battle organized, retail crime
Lower the threshold for shoplifting felonies from $950 to $400
